April 2 – 8

The Independent Photography Festival is, above all else, about collaboration, inclusion, and community, so if you feel like you'd like to get involved in some way, there are plenty of ways to do so!

IPF Photo Prize 2012 People's Choice Award
Two of our three prize categories will be decided by our Judge's Panel, but the third category is the People's Choice Award judged entirely by you! Let us know what you think is the best entry in this year's Photo Prize to help us find our People's Choice winner and for your chance to win a little something for yourself!

By now you'll have seen the subscribe bar in the top right of your screen, so why not join our mailing list? You'll be signing up for all the best updates, info, and love from IPF, HWC, and Parts & Crafts as often and sporadically as there's news to deliver!

IPF will be blowing up the twitterverse throughout and around the core of the festival at @I_P_F. Definitely worth a follow.

As we mentioned in the ABOUT page, a key aim for IPF is to do away with the impersonality, anonymity, and hermitic nature of Independent Photography which is an inevitable by-product of the most convenient and (supposedly) efficient way we promote ourselves and communicate - via the internet. For just one week of the year, use your computer to print our Program, then close it! Shut! Come see real photos on real walls, with no scroll bar, no 'Next Image' button, no 'Right-Click' or 'Save Image As…' and the fully real, diverse and interesting, community of Independent Photographers. That's all we want.
